The University Center of Lake County is preparing to apply for 21st Century Community Learning Centers funding to continue offering enrichment programs during the 2027–2028 school year.

This three-year grant would help us continue supporting more than 300 students and their families each year. These programs provide students with opportunities to learn, grow, build confidence, and explore new interests outside of the traditional classroom.

As we prepare our grant proposal, we want to hear from the people who know our community best.

“We invite community members to share their ideas, perspectives, and feedback with the University Center of Lake County so their input can help shape and strengthen our grant proposal,” said Dr. Myra Gaytan-Morales.

Feedback from students, parents, educators, and community members will help us better understand what local families need and what types of programs would make the greatest impact.

At the University Center, we believe strong programs are built by listening to the community. Your ideas can help us create meaningful opportunities that support students and families throughout Lake County.

We encourage community members to share their feedback and be part of this important process.
