DOCTORATE PROGRAM

  • Community Psychology, PhD

    • The Community Psychology program at National Louis University is unique in that it affords the opportunity for students to further develop the research they completed in their master’s degrees and incorporate that work in the Ph.D. program. The program is designed to be completed in as little as three years.

    • Core principles of Community Psychology include prevention rather than intervention, promotion of ecological principles to better understand the connection between individuals, communities and societies and a strong foundation in research and evaluation. Providing the tools for communities to build on their own strengths to create positive change is a hallmark of Community Psychology.

    • Community Psychologists work in many different settings including non-profit organizations, universities, consulting, health care and government. The multidisciplinary approach of Community Psychology opens the door to multiple opportunities for employment. (NEW)
