Today's organizations require a variety of new experts, and developments in the next few years will demand MIS expertise of any professional administrator/manager who wishes to be competitive in his/her particular field. Although some positions necessitate more technical expertise than others, all require a balance between technical knowledge and organizational knowledge. GMAT or GRE test results. A score is required unless applicant has an overall undergraduate GPA greater than 3.00 or a graduate degree from an accredited U.S. university or 5 years of significant, professional experience in the MIS field (documentation of experience will be required).

Two semesters of accounting, one each of managerial and financial or ACC 311;

One semester of production/operations management (e.g. BUS 322);

One semester of statistics (e.g. MAT 121);

One semester of college algebra or mathematics, or the equivalent;

Competency in a structured high-level programming language such as Java, C++, Visual Basic, COBOL, C, Fortran, etc; either through course work or practical experience; or by taking CSC 225 and CSC 275.(Conditional admission may be granted to students who will need to complete some or all of their prerequisite courses. Students may take their required prerequisite courses while they are waiting to submit the GMAT or GRE test scores.)
