Master of Arts in Art (Art Education & Community Art concentrations)

This 32-hour program blends online courses with intensive studio experience for one week each summer on the EIU Charleston campus. There are two program options: Art Education and Community Arts. Both may be completed in two years and neither leads to teacher licensure.

Delivery Method

This hybridized program combines online learning during the academic year with an immersive eight-day summer studio per summer. Teachers and professionals may choose to complete their degrees over a six-semester sequence or enroll in courses as their other professional commitments allow.

The Art Education and Art History courses are offered online. The eight-day Art Studio course rotation is offered on campus at Eastern Illinois University in mid July.
