Master in Higher Education Administration (MHEA)

The North Park MHEA is a 18 course degree that consists of 13 core courses and 5 electives. The broad-based curriculum of the degree combines coursework specific to higher education administration with management coursework in leadership, finance, marketing, fundraising, change management, and strategy. The program offers exceptional convenience and flexibility for working adults.

Delivery Method

Online, with the possibility that some electives may be available at the University Center facility in Grayslake.

Admission Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

  • Completed application, essay, and current resume

  • Two completed recommendations

  • Official transcripts from all colleges attended

  • No GMAT or GRE required if cumulative GPA is above 3.0. Also waived if applicant has a graduate degree from an accredited institution or completes their first 5 SBNM courses with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Transfer Policy

Up to 4 courses (8 sh) from an accredited graduate program. Also, up to 2 core courses may be waived if taken at the undergraduate level with a grade of "B" or higher.

Special Characteristics

Courses can also be taken at the main campus on the north side of Chicago.
