The Certificate in Public Planning provides a foundation in geographic information systems training, coupled with graduate level coursework in public administration and public policy, to prepare students for careers or advancement in public planning, nonprofit and community organizations, and related fields.

Political Science courses taken for the Certificate Program in Public Planning may be counted toward the M.A. in Political Science with the Option in Public Administration & Public Policy. Acceptance into the certificate program does not guarantee placement into the graduate degree program.
