Bachelor of Business Administration

The online Bachelor of Business Administration degree provides students with a course of study that will prepare them for employment in private or public organizations of any size. Building on core business knowledge areas, the BBA degree program enables students to broaden their knowledge of the business enterprise through comprehensive study in general areas of finance, management, marketing, and operations management, or through more advanced and focused study in advanced management classes.

Interested students should contact the Online Program Coordinator or view the application process on our website at www.uis.edu/cbam/online/apply.htmlAdmission will be limited based on enrollment capacity. Students who seek admission to the program should have:

 

  • Met all general education requirements as stated in the UIS catalog (https://www.uis.edu/registration/catalogs/).

  • Met all entrance requirements stipulated for business administration majors including: - Introduction to Financial Accounting - Introduction to Managerial Accounting - Introduction to Microeconomics - Introduction to Macroeconomics - Statistics - Calculus or Finite Math

  • A GPA of 3.0 or better for previous college coursework;

  • Demonstrated ability to write in English at the appropriate baccalaureate level;

  • Access to the Internet, specified software and experience with their use.

  • Submitted application, application fee, transcripts and letter of intent as specified on our website

Transfer Policy

UIS has a 30 hour residence requirement. UIS participates in the Illinois Articulation Initiative, a statewide agreement designed to allow students to transfer general education credit between participating institutions. Contact the Online Program Coordinator for specifics.
